Oklahoma's Promise (OHLAP)
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
To enroll in the Oklahoma's Promise program, the student must be:
- an Oklahoma resident;
- enrolled in the eighth, ninth or 10th grade in an Oklahoma high school (homeschool students must be age 13, 14 or 15); and
- a student whose parents earn $55,000 or less per year.*
Special income provisions may apply to:
- Children adopted from certain court-ordered custody and children in the custody of court-appointed legal guardians.
- Families receiving Social Security disability and death benefits.
Additional documentation may be required. Contact the Oklahoma's Promise office for more information.
Applications must be:
- completed during the school year in the student's eighth-, ninth- or 10th-grade year (for homeschool students, the application must be completed while the student is age 13, 14 or 15) and
- witnessed by the student's parent(s), custodial parent(s) or legal guardian(s) who also agree to help the student comply with Oklahoma's Promise requirements.
*In addition, the federal adjusted gross income (AGI) of the student's parents (or the income of the student if the student is officially determined to be financially independent of their parents) may not exceed $100,000 at the time the student begins college and prior to receiving the scholarship. Beginning in the 2018-19 academic year, this income limit will be applied each year the student is enrolled in postsecondary education.

Oklahoma Scholarships
Oklahoma, the Sooner State, is the 20th largest state in the US. The state's economy is centered around industries such as aviation, energy, telecommunications and biotechnology. Oklahoma is known for its diverse population, its harsh weather and for being one of the longest running plays in Broadway history.
The largest public universities in the state include the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, the University of Central Oklahoma and Northeastern State University. In addition, there are over 60 other colleges, universities and trade schools that help round out the higher education offerings.
Individuals looking for college scholarship opportunities in Oklahoma have a number of options. State-funded grants and scholarship are available as are privately administered college scholarships. Tuition funding can be found for specific groups (such as Native Americans) or for those pursuing education in a specific field (such as elementary education). There are also scholarships for a wide range of college majors such as computer science, agricultural science, accounting, engineering and many more.

Quest Bridge
We are looking for high school juniors who have shown outstanding academic ability despite financial challenges. We take a holistic approach to reviewing applications, and we do not have absolute criteria or cut-offs for GPA, standardized test scores, income, or other factors.
Eligibility
Any high school junior, regardless of citizenship, currently attending high school in the U.S. is eligible for the College Prep Scholars Program. Additionally, U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents living abroad are eligible for the program. International students living outside the U.S. are not eligible.
Applicants must be high school juniors who are planning to apply to college during the fall of their senior year.

At what grade can you apply for scholarships?
Posted by:While they should start looking for scholarships, we recommend either focusing during the holidays, similarly to the 10th grade and younger students, or just taking an hour per week to focus on the process. The summer after their junior year is when they should start committing 2+ hours per week to the process.

When should a high school student apply for scholarships?
Posted by:Some deadlines are as early as a year before college starts, so if you're in high school now, you should be researching and applying for scholarships during the summer between your junior and senior years. But if you've missed that window, don't give up!
