National Honor Society
Membership is limited to grades 10-12 having and maintaining a GPA of at least a 3.5. Four main purposes have guided chapters of NHS from the beginning: "To create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools." These purposes also translate into the criteria used for membership selection. Selection for membership is by faculty council and is based on a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Advisor is Lacey Haines.
