Drumright Public Schools would like to thank the City of Drumright for the commitment our city has made to provide the partnership to employ a SRO for our school district. Yesterday afternoon with the fire on Hwy 16 occurring right before our afternoon bus routes, our safety plan worked perfectly with SRO, Officer Wright, dispatch employee, and Bradley Elementary Principal, Tara Osterhout. These individuals were in communication immediately and throughout the situation. With this open communication, our district was able to make the best decisions, communicate with our parents, and get our students home safely. Thank you to all of our parents who were patient with us, our bus drivers who adapted to the situation immediately, and to our great students for their cooperation. This partnership is invaluable to our schools! Thank you again City of Drumright, Drumright Police Department, and Drumright Fire Department!!
